Expero was born in Austin, Texas, in 2003 when a pair of tech execs decided the world needed a firm focused on solving software’s most complicated problems. With our decades of combined experience in UX and technology innovation, we keep our ears to the ground and our eyes on customers and users.

Sebastian is a creative software architect with a focus on turning industry innovation and intellectual property into new products. He leads the architecture and development practice, recruiting switched-on developers, building inventive prototypes, and shipping code for customers.
Lynn leads Expero’s Design group and oversees the company’s business strategy. As co-principal of Expero, she takes on a lot of roles, but none she enjoys as much as getting into the weeds with a complicated design problem and crafting the right solution.
As Expero’s VP of Operations, Brian helps Expero implement operational processes and refine forward looking-strategy. He loves to work with bright people who energize him.
For more than 20 years, John has been getting inside the heads of users in complex domains. He leads Expero’s User Research team and specializes in research for enterprise software, Big Data and Analytics, the Internet of Things, and multi-touch UIs.
Andy is an innovative product manager and strategist with a notable track record of success in the development and launch of new products and services with major global organizations in U.S. and international markets.
Managing Consultant and Solution Architect with 30 years’ experience delivering solutions to oil & gas exploration, power, broadband and commodity trading industry leaders, especially in the area of complex database design & implementation. Team leader and in-the-trenches technical expert.
Josh likes to play with data. This can be implementing proprietary algorithms closer to the data for performance or scale, ad-hoc investigation and analysis, or transformations to alternative persistence engines such as graph, document or triple-store databases.
Chris has spent the past two decades defining, designing and building software for a variety of industry verticals. He has experience as a usability engineer, interaction designer, front-end developer as well as product manager for both consulting and product-oriented organizations.
Dave uses his more than 17 years of experience to focus on understanding and strategically solving complex problems. Dave has worked in a variety of industries including productization of R&D, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas exploration, government, startup productization and management of development and operations for SaaS based offerings.
Ryan specializes in developing HPC software. With a background in mathematics and physics, he enjoys digging deep into algorithms and learning about as many problems as possible. Sometimes breathing new life into sluggish simulations, sometimes doing something new with interactive workflows, Ryan is always looking for new challenges.
Sarah makes a living tackling the hard 20% and taking projects over the finish line. Whether it’s addressing a particularly difficult coding bug or tracking down differences in environments, Sarah can always be found at the front lines of any firefight.
Most recently, as part of a worldwide team, Ken has designed, developed and integrated features of an Exploration and Modeling support system in the petroleum industry. This includes integrated subsurface modeling, risking, geospatial and relational data management, and analysis using a web-based, multi-tier client server application structure.
Chad is a Sr. User Experience Designer focused on helping clients solve complex problems. A strategic thinker, Chad has worked in technology, financial and medical industries and enjoys a creative challenge. He likes smart people and smarter products.
Karim is a software engineer by profession and a problem solver by nature. He has worked at all positions of the software lifecycle and is at ease in all of them. Karim has experience designing and developing solutions for various industries, ranging from consumer-focused to enterprise applications.
Brian has been leading product teams for more than 20 years, specializing in lean and innovative best practices. He leads Expero’s Product Discovery practice and specializes in rapid prototyping, productizing innovative ideas, and accelerating product delivery.
Mitch is a full-stack developer and typically works across the back and front ends continuously through a given project to bring features online. He likes to iterate quickly and get feedback early and often in order to inform necessary changes toward a successful product outcome for his clients.
Chad has designed systems for popular gaming software as well as solid geometry software used by engineers and scientists. Chad is passionate about understanding the needs of Expero’s clients and designing solutions that exceed their expectations.

Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience in product marketing and application development across high-tech, financial services and energy. She craves a deep understanding of end-users and how to meet their needs.
Ted is passionate about learning complex systems top to bottom and he enjoys applying this knowledge to help customers with their data architecture and performance tuning needs. Over the past few years he has been involved in the rapidly growing graph database space and is an active committer and PMC member on the Apache TinkerPop project.
Mike is a seasoned developer and architect with more than 20 years of experience building quality software solutions. His experience spans multiple technology stacks and industries, the common theme to all his work is practical solutions for real-world problems.
Building web applications is Phil’s bread and butter, and bringing design mockups and prototypes to pixel-perfect life is his peanut butter and jelly.
